organic categories and labels

Organic products are governed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the National Organic Program (NOP). The NOP develops, implements and administers production, handling and labeling standards for organic agricultural products in the United States. The NOP also accredits the certifying agents (foreign and domestic) who inspect organic production and handling operations to certify that they meet USDA standards.

Each product and label must be reviewed and certified by QAI before it can be produced by PK. Once you have an approved recipe and the label is approved by PK, the label and accompanying paperwork (Individual Product Profile and Organic Ingredient Certificate) are submitted to QAI for review. Once NOP regulations are met, the product and label will be certified, added to the Organic Certificate and Plan Summary for PK and may be produced and labeled for resale.
